The Definition of Done Generator

In a team where agents generate work at machine speed, the Definition of Done has to be machine-verifiable. Tell the generator about your work and it builds a tailored DoD — and flags the automated gates you're still missing.

Two Kinds of Gate

A Definition of Done for a hybrid team is built from two kinds of check. The job is to automate everything that can be automated, so human attention is spent where it actually has to be.

Automated gates

Machine-enforced and blocking: tests, coverage, static analysis, security and secret scans, license checks. They run on every change so errors in high-volume agent output get caught without human effort.

Human checks

Judgement that can't be delegated: acceptance criteria met, agent output reviewed and validated, and a named human who owns the merge and is accountable for what ships.

Run the Whole Retro

The tools follow the shape of a sprint. Route the work before it starts, define done so it can be verified, and inspect the outcome at the end so the next sprint starts better configured.
